Delete your My Elf Moved data
My Elf Moved has no accounts and never asks for your name or email in the app. Your data is linked to a random app id, and you can delete it at any time.
In the app (iPhone and Android)
- Open My Elf Moved and tap Settings.
- Tap Delete my data.
- Confirm. Your data is deleted from our servers straight away and the app starts fresh.
By email
Write to hello@elfmoved.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the support code shown in the app under Settings (it lets us find your data without knowing who you are). We delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm. You can also use the support page.
What is deleted
- Your app id and everything linked to it: your story history, your credit balance and any photos, previews or videos still on our servers.
- Unused credits are lost when your data is deleted, so use them first if you can.
- Stories you saved live only on your phone: deleting the app or the videos removes them.
If you just stop using the app
If you stop using the app, we delete your data 12 months after you last use it, unless you still have bought stories. Then we keep your app id, your story balance, your purchase records and any unused recovery code, so your bought stories never expire, and clear only your notification token and your AI consent record (the app asks again before your next photo).
What is kept, and for how long
- Records of purchases, which tax and accounting law makes us keep (up to 6 years), without your app id. We ask RevenueCat to delete its record too; Apple and Google keep their own purchase records.
- A one-way coded version of your app id, so a reinstall does not get a second free story.
- Our encrypted nightly backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data can remain in a backup for up to 14 days.
- Messages you sent through the support page are kept for up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them too.
The launch email list
If you joined the launch list on this website, every email has a one-click unsubscribe link: unsubscribing deletes your address from the list within a day. You can also write to us.
